SGTL5000 datasheet recommends to power VDDD pin by means an external voltage, why?

Hi all.

The SGTL5000 (Low Power Stereo Codec) datasheet recommends to power the VDDD pin by means an external voltage source, (not using the internal LDO) what is the reason?

What happens if the VDDD pin is powered by the internal (SGTL5000) LDO regulator?
