BATT-6EMULATOR - Simulate a charging battery

Hello, I am trying to use the BATT-6EMULATOR to emulate a battery pack to determine BMS functionality. Can this module be used to simulate a charging battery (i.e. sinking current instead of sourcing current)?

Thanks.

Hello Matt,

I hope all is great with you.

In this case, the BATT-6EMULATOR board can emulate a multi-cell battery pack that can be easily hooked-up to the evaluation boards for MC33771 and MC33772 battery cell controllers (BCC):

  • FRDM33772BTPLEVB - It supports cell voltage measurement, passive cell balancing, GPIOs, external EEPROM, and fault detection pin report.
  • FRDM33772BSPIEVB - It supports cell voltage measurement, passive cell balancing, GPIOs, external EEPROM, and fault detection pin report.

Therefore, as long as the features mentioned before (from FRDM33772BTPLEVB or FRDM33772BSPIEVB) are useful for you, the BATT-6EMULATOR is a great option.

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

David
