Dear NXP,
We have a NXP NFC PN7150 controller and hope to merge NFC patch to android 12.
However, we are searching NXP NCI Android Porting Guide. Only found that PN7160 android 12 porting guide and PN7150 android 11 porting guide. We want to ask which porting guide is suitable? PN7160 android 12 or PN7150 android 11? Or Is there PN7150 android 12 porting guide?
Dear NXP,
From AN11690, we will use android r patch as https://
github.com/NXPNFCLinux/nxpnfc_android_r to merge in android 12 code base.
I have another question.
For android 11 patch , i see a Hardware folder on hardware/nxp/nfc/1.1
However, it doesn't this folder (hardware/nxp/nfc/1.1) for android 12.
For android 12 patch, it uses on hardware/nxp/nfc/pn8x.
Should we use hardware/nxp/nfc/pn8x or create 1.1 folder on hardware/nxp/nfc on android 12 ?
Dear Daniel,
Thanks for your reply
Please kindly note that PN7150 is not recommended for new designs. We recommend using PN7160. NXP has stopped Android maintenance for PN7150 and is not planning any support for new Android versions. Latest supported Android version is 11. For later newer Android versions, please use PN7160.
Sorry there is no porting guider for PN7150 and Android 12. Customer needs to port it by himself.
Please refer to AN11690
Regards
Daniel
