We need to make a card reader board which will be part of some access control products. We're planning to use a non-NXP RF transceiver. We want to use a software implementation of the Crypto-1 algorithm and we also want to use part of the NxpNfcRdLib library which handles MIFARE cards.

Is there any legal problems with that? Is there a legal way of doing it? Do we need a license? or do we REALLY need to use a NXP chip for this project?
