Dear Support,

I have a project based on ST SPC560B50L5 design schematic and software. Now we need to replace ST SPC560B50L5 with NXP SPC5606BF1MLQ6, but I found that the 81 and 82 pins of NXP SPC5606BF1MLQ6 LQFP 144 PIN package are different from ST SPC560B50L5. And the design uses these two pins as ADC acquisition ports. Could you please help confirm whether NXP SPC5606BF1MLQ6 can replace ST SPC560B50L5 and whether the software and hardware are compatible? Thank you!

It is because these are two different families

ST number SPC560B50L5 is equivalent to MPC5604B, covered by following RM:
https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=MPC5604BCRM

SPC5606BF1MLQ6 belongs to MPC5607B, covered by:
https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=MPC5607BRM

There is an appnote describing differences between MPC5607B and MPC5604B families:

I want to replace ST SPC560B50L5C6E0Y with NXP SPC560B50L5C6E0Y to produce BCM products. The firmware of the product is ST SPC560B50L5C6E0Y. Can I use the firmware directly on NXP SPC5604BAMLQ6? Thanks

It could work unless mentioned differences are not an issue. MPC5607B peripherals are backward compatible with MPC5604B.

Also SW should not check Device ID as this numbers are different.

Sorry, I did not give a clear description. My question is whether the firmware of ST can be compatible with the operation of NXP .

I don't have any information about ST device, according to my knowledge it should be equivalent to MPC5604B, but they may differ in used mask, revisions. I can give you only info about NXP devices.

User SW may test SIU_MIDR2 register where they may be a difference in revisions or manufacturer field.
