Dear NXP supporter:
Development enviroment of the project is:S32DS_Power_v2017.R1, PE multilink universal, MPC5748G

I have encountered a serious problem because of my misoperation. The power of my mpc5748g board turned off  when i was downloading program with PE multilink universal. Then i restarted the power and downloaded program again, it still failed. The download progress was stucked shown as followed.

I have tried many times to download, but the boad still can not work, it seems like the chip was damage.

Could you tell me why turning off power when downloading program would result in this problem? and, how can i solve this problem?

Thank you in advance~

Hi,

it's caused by watchdog and reset escalation, most likely. Take a look at this post:

In the same thread, there's also a link to this nice and detailed study from Peter Vranken:

Hi,lukas

Thanks for your quick reply~

I believe the problem was caused by reset escalation which i encountered before ,  I can always recover the board by "reset line before power on", but this time failed.

I  don't know why the program was stucked at "Verifying object file CRC-16 to device ranges..."   Then i tried to read the CFLASH data with PROGPPCNEXUS, firstly i erased the chip and it was stucked as followed pic.

Then i read the flash by clicking "SM Show Module", found the content are full with "XX"

The problem was solved~  I used PROGPPCNEXUS to reset the chip by clicking "RE Reset chip". Now my board can work well.
