MPC5554 EBI Bus Collision on Transaction Acknowledge

Does the EBI bus have any internal timeout capability if it is unable to drive the Transaction Acknowledge signal low during a Chip Select access because of another Master driving Transaction Acknowledge inactive incorrectly? 

I am trying to understand the fault that can occur if the above scenario occurs.

There is an EBI bus monitor, pay attention to

12.3.1.5 EBI Bus Monitor Control Register (EBI_BMCR)

If enabled bus monitor expiration leads in bus error exception.
