Hi,
I burned the program into the Devkit MPC5748G and had it illuminated with an orange light continuously during program execution. After a while, I noticed that the orange light was no longer on. I suspected that I might have accidentally pressed a button and cleared the program, so I intended to re-burn the code.
However, later on, I found that no matter what I tried, I couldn't successfully burn the code, and the following error message appeared. Using the same computer, I was able to burn another Devkit MPC5748G without any issues. But when I switched to the problematic Devkit MPC5748G, I couldn't burn anything.
This is the functional Devkit MPC5748G (with orange light):
This is the Devkit MPC5748G that cannot be programmed successfully:
This problem has occurred twice now, and I currently have two Devkit MPC5748G devices that I can't burn programs into. I'm left with only one Devkit MPC5748G that can be programmed successfully. I'm wondering if you have any idea what might be causing this issue?
Best Regards,
Paddy
Hello,
Not sure what you have done here. But there can be multiple scenarios.
1. check the reset line on oscilloscope if it is toggling in 20ms intervals first 300ms after power on reset. If yes, you have reset escalation caused by SWT. This has been explained on forum countless times.
2. did you interrupt and programming of HSM data blocks? If yes, your reset line will be always active and the device is bricked for good.
Best regards,
Peter
