I want to use Lauterbach debugger for Flashing & debugging the M7 core.

1. Required script for M7 core of IMX8MP-EVK,

2. connection details between Lauterbach & MX8MP-EVK

Could you please help me to get the details regarding How to connect / use Lauterbach for flashing & debugging M7 core of IMX8MP EVK

Thanks,

Hi, I have the same problem and can't connect to the 8MPLUS-BB Board (and also not to my own custom made board).

I think I connected it correctly, but I'm not able to Attach via Trace32. Tried support from Lauterbach and they gave me a new installation with iMX8MP demo script, but they fail also.

All I get is: "debug port time-out at UNKNOWN"

I built an Adapter connected like this

Lauterbach:                       i.MX8:
Pin  Description                 Pin  Description
1      VTREF   --------------   1      VTREF
2      NC
3      TRESET --------------   10    RESET
4,8,10,12,14,16,18,20        3,5,7,9
        GND       --------------           GND
5      TDI         --------------    8     TDI
7      TMS       --------------    2     TMS
9      TCK        --------------    4     TCK
13    TDO        --------------    6     TDO

Is this correct? Or what am I doing wrong?
Are there any better scripts for attachment to i.MX8 Eval board?

Greetings

Steffen

I already posted, but I don't know why community doesn't show it, you can connect to the board 10-pin debug port

Yes We have connected the 10 pin connector to debug port.

After power on board is in Power down mode.

We have selected CPU - M7, JTAG CLK = 10Mhz and then try to detect by clicking on DETECT button.

Its showing below error as Debug Port Failed.

1. Connect Lauterbach JTAG connector to JTAG pins Header from iMX8MP baseboard.

2. Configure DIP Switches for Serial Download Mode.

3. Power on the Board

4. Start Trace32 for ARM64

5. Run xx.cmm script

I want to know the hardware connection details between Lauterbach & MX8MP-EVK.
Once connection done, I will use .cmm files which are shared on mail.
