I am now starting a project with the LPCXpresso 54608 board and have this - kind of - working with LPCXpresso.
But I'm getting stuck with the lack of support for the 5460x series peripheral view. Also, to prevent extra work, it would be nice to be able to transfer my project as soon as possible to the new MCUXpresso environment.
Since the MCUXpresso IDE is announced as "being available March 2017" and today is the 10th, I was wondering when the IDE will be available. I'll be travelling next week and it would be great to download and install the IDE before then so I can spend my travelling time in a useful way.
So please, when is the IDE available?
Regards,
Rob
Solved! Go to Solution.
MCUXpresso Software and Tools product promotion will be taking place over the next few weeks, but the IDE itself is now available via:
You'll also need to obtain an updated, MCUXpresso IDE compatible, build of the LPC5460x SDK from http://mcuxpresso.nxp.com
With regards to your LPC-Link2 visibility issue, that could be a drivers issue. Check the "Using and troubleshooting LPC-Link2" in the Appendix of the MCUXpresso IDE User Guide (or else some of this information can also be found in the LPCXpresso IDE FAQs - LPCXpresso IDE FAQs ).
If you continue to have LPC-Link2 problems, please create a new thread (I suggest in the new MCUXpresso IDE forum - https://community.nxp.com/community/mcuxpresso/mcuxpresso-ide ) and post exact details of the problem you see.

Thanks,
I had a bit of a problem getting everything downloaded and installed while on Lanzarote but back in the office I was able to try the new IDE.
Installing the new MCUXpresso IDE solved my problem. I now see, and can use, the LPC-Link2.
Will this MCUXpresso replace KDS? i can see, there is no project file for KDS in Thread version 1.1.1.15.
KDS will be still around, but all new development goes into MCUXpresso IDE.
Hi Rob,
For MCUXpresso, the ‘download day’ is March 31st, with a general announcement on April 4th.
Best Regards,
Jennie Zhang
As Meet, I already read somewhere else the 22nd of March.
This is becoming a bit of a pain for me. We have 2 development board and I was able to get this working on one PC with LPCXpresso but somehow my other development PC does not see the board's LPCLink2 device.
This is blocking development right now.
Is there any other way to get a pre-release of the tools?
Rob
I though that MCUxpresso will be released on March 22 as this is the information I got from this forum page https://community.nxp.com/thread/445707
