I'm using MCUExpresso 11.2.0 and Config Tools 8.0 and SDK 2.8 I'm laying out a board with an LPC5512JBD64 on it. Looking at the pins tool and the datasheet for this part from Rev 1.0 3-March 2020 (LPC55S1X/LPC551X)
The pins tool says that USB0 (pins 61-64) can be connected but not USB1 (pins 22-27) which it enforces!
The datasheet says that USB1 can be connected but USB0 is unconnected on this part.
One of these is wrong but with only 2 data points, I have no idea which one. I'm hoping it's the data sheet because the pins tool won't LET me do it the way the datasheet wants it done.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi Randy, I hope you're doing well!
The LPC5512 variant of the LPC551x only has the Full-Speed USB controller available, which corresponds to USB0:
(Taken from the LPC55S1x Datasheet, table 2).
Still, the USB1 High-Speed controller is available on the other variants of the LPC551x.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
Best regards,
Sebastian
OK, so the tools are right, USB0 is the one that's active.... at least according to Table 2....
But on page 36 of that datasheet the pinouts show:
so I'm thinking that this is a datasheet error?
thanx
Hi Randy,
Thank you very much for your feedback!
We will be taking a look at this table in the documentation to provide a fix in a future release.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
Best regards,
Sebastian
