"Transmit-only" mode on DPAA LS1046

A large variety of fiber ethernet PHYs and some copper ethernet PHYs support forced "unidirectional link" modes. Some signalling modes are designed for last-mile ethernet plants while others are designed for strict security isolation (fiber with no return-path).

Unfortunately, this doesn't work with most NIC drivers even if sitting the autoneg off using ethtool. What would be the preferred way to set the TX only mode?

I look forward to your comments and suggestions

Hi,

Try powering the receiver (x00100000) or the transmitter (as asked) (x00080000) for the x1EA_0800 + 4 * lane m.

For example, for lane A, should be the address x1EA_0800

Best regards
