Created SDK Image on an Ubuntu 20 machine via this link:

https://docs.nxp.com/bundle/GUID-487B2E69-BB19-42CB-AC38-7EF18C0FE3AE/page/GUID-4AC8F83B-35AE-4395-9...

SD card was then inserted into the FRWY-LS1012A board, and boots up until the two messages seen below:

[ 2.609330] bmu_init(1) done
[ 2.612244] bmu_init(2) done

Bootup log is attached; tried twice.

#LS1012A, #FRWY-LS1012A

Thank you for contacting NXP Support!I can see in your log file you have an old LSDK (18.09) please update your board to LSDK 21.08.Your board has 2 memories 1)QSPI2)SD Cardat first, your board boots from QPSI loading U-boot which is the bootloader, and then you pass from the bootloader to the distro image on the SD card.to update your board please follow the next steps:Program LSDK composite firmware image | Layerscape Software Development Kit User Guide | NXP Semicon...and please try to reflash your SD Card following the same steps that are you following.
