We're using the LS1043A in a product where high TCP throughput over 2.5 G ethernet is top priority. Using the internal ethernet controllers, performance is great due to the data path acceleration.
Is the data path acceleration available if we were to use an external ethernet controller connected via PCIe, or is it sort of hard-wired to the internal controllers? That is, could we expect similar levels of throughput with a PCIe-connected ethernet controller?
