If you go to the link of freedom board K64F http://www.freescale.com/frdm-k64f , you will find a new step by step tutorial for begin to program with Kinetis using a software tool "SDK Project Generator".
Freescale Freedom Development Platform for Ki|Freescale
I have created a project using the SDK Project Generator and my project was automatically located in <SDK_Install_Directory>/examples/frdmk64/user_apps.
In my opinion the SDK project generator is a quick way to begin to program and not lose the time making settings of linker files.
FYI, just tried this on KSDK 1.3.0 and says not supported.
I have been using the tool for KSDK 1.2.0 so downloaded again, and the file size is the same so I'm guessing its the same tool.
Hi Neil,
yes, you are absolutely correct.
The current version of Project Generator Beta does not support KSDK 1.3.
We expect new version for KSDK Project Generator in these two weeks.
Thank you for your interest and for this valuable contribution!
I hope this helps you.
Best Regards,
Iva
