Hello,

We are using a Multicore DSP device, and it is using SmartDSP OS.

I would like to ask if I can change it to use Freertos instead.

If possible, please help to share guides to build it.

Thanks and BRs,

Hello,

Could you share with us the new MCU product lines replace the StarCore family?

And please include the instruction on how to use Freertos on that instead of NXP OS.

Thank you!

Hi,

I do not know your application, StarCore is a communication processor. The Starcore family is not recommended in new design, there is not direct replacement, but you can refer to the LA sub-family in Layerscape  family.

https://www.nxp.com/products/processors-and-microcontrollers/arm-processors/layerscape-processors/la...

If you want to understand FreeRtos, I suppose that you order a board from LPC, Kinetis, i.mxrt family, then download SDK package with FreeRtos checked, you can study FreeRtos.

For example, you can order LPC55S69-EVK board and download SDK package.

SDK package:

Hope it can help you

Hi,

I suppose that you use StarCore family which supports smartDSP OS, based on the fact that the starcore is not recommended in new design, it is impossible to port the code on FreeRTOS.

Hope it can help you
