Last night everything was good so I closed the kinetis IDE and saved my project.  This morning all the projects were red.  So I

reinstalled the CW 10.6 software from a local copy and upgraded it from the help menu.  All projects are still red and the problem

is that the processor component is grayed out.  Mouse hover gives "The component MKL25Z128LK4 is not supported in

this version of processor expert.

Thanks to anyone who knows how to correct this.

John

Thanks, Yong Li:

I did create a new workspace and imported projects into it but the result was the same. Red projects.

Then I tried to make a barebones project. Went through all the steps seemingly correctly. But when finished, the wizard did not

create the barebones project in the project explorer!

Thanks,

John

Yong:

This problem has already been closed, so I

can't check correct answer. You could reopen it and

I'll check the box.

Yong Li:

You and everyone did great in solving this problem. I'm very appreciative.

However there is no place on the discussion now for me to indicate this.

Hi John,

if you create a new project with File > New > bareboard project, are the Kinetis devices still listed?

If not, it seems that the Kinetis device support has been uninstalled/removed?

Erich:

When I created the barebones project, all the devices were properly listed in the wizard.

The software install probably went wrong.  There was a KINETIS error at the end of the software install but no details were available.

Don't know how to add the necessary modules.

What would be nice is a "repair" installation to correct this kind of problem.  With this, the installer would only replace corrupt or missing files.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

that installation error is very likely the cause of your problems. Can you uninstall it, remove the installation folder from the disk and do a re-install into the default installation folder?

Maybe even your installation image might be corrupted?
