Hi everybody

I am using Codewarrior v3.1, mc9s12dg256 controller and Pemicro USB BDM MULTILING.

I have some problems with USB BDM MULTILING; whenever I try to communicate with the target, the following message occurs:

The communication was lost with the BDM cable. You can press:
- 'Abort' to close connection
- 'Retry' to reopen communication with BDM cable from beginning
- 'Ignore' to try to reconnect/resynchronize with current state.

I have installed all CW v3.1 updates but the problem remains. I have also installed CW v3.1 and updates on three computers. All of them have the same problem with USB BDM MULTILING.

Note that special edition of CW v5.1 works OK with USB BDM MULTILING so there is no hardware issue (USB BDM MULTILING or target board).

Have anyone expirienced the same problem?

Thanks
Nikos

I think that you have a driver issue. I believe the Multilink driver was updated for the CW v5.x version of the tools, whch might explain why the CW 5.1 tools work with the Multilink while the version 3.1 tools do not. As an experiment try, installing the Special edition of CW v5.1 on one of the other systems that has CW v3.1 and see if the communications with the Multilink start working.
