Hollow.
I started work with CW 8.7 last week.
All week I use USB TAP for debugging my target.
Yesterday I got this message when I trying to debug the target :
"CCSProtocolPlugin : Error writing memory [internal error :bad status]"
and in the same time I hear regular(windows) sound like USB device connecting/disconnecting.
i thought that my PC USB connector dead and i tried to use another PC with CW installed on it with this USB TAP.
If this mean that my USB TAP dead?
What can I do to fix this problem?
10X.

Hi Andrey,
The key indicator is the TX/RX light on the USB TAP. It should be blinking green about once a second. If it's blinking red then there's a USB interface problem. If you're using a USB hub, try plugging straight into your PC's USB connector. Try using a different USB connector. Try using a different USB cable. Finally, try re-installing the USB TAP drivers by running C:\Program Files\Freescale\{CodeWarrior}\ccs\drivers\usb\setup.bat.
If after all that the TX/RX light still blinks red, or shows solid red, then this USB TAP may need replacing. Please contact Returns@Freescale.com for information on how to do that. I hope this helps.

Ron
