Hi,
I just built a TBDML and programmed the HC08 and all went fine. But now my computer recognise the USB device but when I select the USB drivers from the distribution it dosen't work ... My computer is on Vista 64-bits .. I also tried with Vista 32 and I have the same Issue... is there any Vista drivers for the TBDML ???
Thanks
Dear Lyncos,
I believe the firmware in the HC908JB8 TBDML is incompatible with Vista as it configures the USB interface for bulk endpoints although it is a low speed device. This is not supported by the USB standard or (rightly) by Vista. To confirm this you could try a XP machine if one is available. These were more tolerable of this.
I would really recommend looking at the later JB16 versions or TBDML as there is a compatible firmware version.

Thanks for the answer, I have tried on a XP vm on vmware and it is working. I can see the communications with the device.
also have a quick question. Can I programm the flash memroy with the TBDML ? If yes can you point me to some hints.
Thanks
Dear Lyncos,
The TBDML is used to debug HC(S)12 devices. It can program the internal flash contained within these chips. It is not a general purpose Flash prorammer so cannot program standalone Flash chips if this is what you are asking? It also cannot program External Flash chips attached to HCS12s in expanded mode.

I have a NE64/POE BADGE BOARD and would like to program it ... It already contain a program but i don't think it is a monitor software so it cannot be programmed serially. Can you point me to more information, I just built the TBDML to re-program this board I'm not sure if i'm right.
thanks again for your help it is really appreciated
