Hi,
I am running on a LS1043A-RGW Development board - using the ASK
binaries that were provided. I have a Spirent Packet Generator/tester
that I am working with GigE LAN directly connected to Eth2 and Eth3
of the Dev. Board.
I then configure the networking rules on the LS1043A to route Spirent
data between eth2 and eth3 (basically direct bridge between the two
GigE ethernet ports).
Then, we turn on the Spirent to see what we see.
Below ~33% loading (~330Mbits) - we have little loss and within reason
Unfortunately, over that ~speed, we start getting packet loss and packet
re-ordering issues - and @ 1GigB - its about 8-9% errors and a lot
of packet re-ordering going on.
What are we doing wrong?
Tom
I should clarify because this explanation was very unclear.
Using an openwrt 19.07.03 version and running on the LS1043A-RGW
Development Board, I was getting lost, duplicate, and re-ordered packet
errors above 330Mbits/Second (we had FMAN code and uboot code
from ASK sent separately to our team).
Using untouched the LS1043A-RGW Development Board - I was able
to get full line-rate.
Is this the fact that the LS1043A requires the DPAA enabled to get
anywhere close to line speed.
