Hi experts,
When I test the Qbu feature of swtich on ls1028ardb board, it says sending two streams from testcenter, and one of
PCP 0 and another of PCP 1.
I want to query about the mean of PCP0 and 1, and how to create these streams without testcenter.
Thanks,
Zhantao
PCP is a 3-bit tagged frame field which refers to the IEEE 802.1p class of
service. If the question is about the Qbu test described in NXP LSDK User Guide
Section 8.7.1.4.4, it requires two streams of VLAN tagged frames one with
PCP=0 and another with PCP=1. To reproduce this test, externally connected
equipment capable of generating VLAN-tagged traffic is required. Refer to the
documentation of the hardware/software that you have in your lab on how to
configure it for sourcing VLAN traffic.
Have a great day,
Platon

Hi Platon,
Thanks for your reply.
Currently there are two nxp-ls1028 boards and no other equipment for testing nxp-ls1028, so if I want to generate streams with the PCP value by using the nxp-ls1028ardb board, what softwares or any other configurations I should install or set?
Thanks,
Zhantao
If you want to do this test quickly, the suggestion is to hire the necessary
equipment.
There is no quick and easy way to do it with the equipment you have. In principle,
you can connect your boards by more than one cable between switch ports
and run a software traffic generator in combination with the switch control
tools to create tagged streams on the connected ports. You need to familiarize
with the traffic generator software of your choice and the switch control tools:
There are no ready recommendations or step-by-step guides on how to do that.
Have a great day,
Platon

Hi Platon,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I will try to seek other ways to test nxp-ls1028.
Thanks,
Zhantao
