Hello,Community

PMIC_ON_REQ signal controls PMIC power supply (except VDD_SNVS) on / off control.
When noise is superimposed on PMIC_ON_REQ, when PMIC_ON_REQ goes low for a moment, it shifts to Power off sequence.
If so, does the PMIC_ON_REQ signal stay high?

best regards

Goto

Hi Goto

PMIC_ON_REQ is output signal from i.MX7D and externally

superimposed on it noise will not cause SNVS to initiate power off.

ONOFF signal can cause power off as described in

Hardware Development Guide for i.MX7Dual and 7Solo Applications Processors

Hi goto11@wantsinc.jp,

If the PMIC_ON_REQ line is given some VSNVS pull-up and VSNVS is always on supply (like coin cell), then yes PMIC_ON_REQ signal will then stay high. Otherwise, PMIC_ON_REQ will stay low by the SOC.

You can also refer to "Section 6.2.4.3 Power mode transitions" from i.MX7D Reference Manual for various scenarios of power transitions.

If you have any further concerns on the same, then please share the schematic part for PMIC_ON_REQ and related stuff.

Feel free if you have any concerns.

Regards,

Kunal
