What is "core 0" and "core 1" for the LPC55S66?

I have noticed that when I set up a project in the MCUXpresso for the LPC55S66, the name of the startup file is called startup_lpc55s66_cm33_core0.c.

Similarly, when I start a project for the LPC55S66 in IAR, it asks me to choose between core 0 and core 1.

What is the difference?

Thanks, Jeremy.

Is there an SDK example project that uses both cores?

Hi Bob Nayar,

Thanks for your reply.
1) Is there an SDK example project that uses both cores?
-- Please refer to the multicore_examples in the SDK library.

Have a great day.

Hi Bob Nayar,

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and for the opportunity to serve you.
1) What is the difference?\
-- The LPC55S6x/LPC55S2x/LPC552x device is the dual-Cortex M33 core MCU, it allows the demo project to be executed in either core 0 or core 1.
