I would like to ask you a question, LPC1764 MAC layer network can only receive this network segment broadcast data, not the whole network segment broadcast data?
Example: the IP address of the device is 192.168.1.32, so it can only receive the broadcast data of 192.168.1.255, but not the full network data of 255.255.255.255.

Hello,

If the device has the address of 192.168.1.32 in the network, then to access all devices present in the network it is using 192.168.1.255.

In this example the network ID would be 192.168.1.0

Available addresses for hosts/devices 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.254 (Total 254 available)

Broadcast address is 192.168.1.255 (This will communicate with the 254 available devices connected.

The address 255.255.255.255 will also send a broadcast message to the local network this is used mainly when it does not know the network address.

Could you please confirm if this answers your question, or if I misunderstood.

Have a great day!

Sabina
