We are building Industrial IoT WiFi connected solution which must be MISRA-C compliant. So we are looking at MCUXpresso Software Development Kit (SDK) which has all drivers and startup code MISRA-C:2004 compliant and checked with Coverity® static analysis tools.
The question is about supported stacks and middleware compliance. Would you pls share information if Cypress WICED Wifi and LwIp stack support are compliant with some development guidance (like MISRA-C) or/and if it possible to pass some quality/safety certification? I'll be appreciated if any suggestion for alternative SW/HW platforms to use.
Hello Dmitry,
Unfortunately the SDK drivers and the USB stack is the only code that we can guaranteed is MISRA compliance, 3rd party code such as LWIP and the Cypress WICED we can't guaranteed it is compliance with this standard/
Sorry for the inconveniences this may cause you.
Best Regards,
