Usage of Power MOSFET in i.MX6SLEVK

Hi all,

I have a question about usage of power MOSFET in i.MX6SLEVK.

I'm checking the schematic (iMX6SLEVK_DESIGNFILES/Schematics/spf-27452_b.pdf).

I can't understand that the usage of power MOSFET in P6 (Please see attache).

I understand that USB_VBUS doesn't have any power-up sequence.

Could you tell me why does it need ?

Furthermore, can user remove it ?

The Q30 FET in the i.MX6SL EVK design is used as the workaround to the silicon erratum ERR006281 to isolate the USB_OTG1_VBUS rail from the USB OTG connector's VBUS contact until the VDDHIGH_IN voltage is applied. Better is to keep it in the custom design.
