Hello Pavlin,

Excellent choice! NXP has its own IDE, is called MCUXpresso, it can download it by following this link in the Downloads tab: https://www.nxp.com/design/software/development-software/mcuxpresso-software-and-tools/mcuxpresso-in... . This IDE is also used for our Kinetis and LPC MCUs, which you can also evaluate them as well.

The i.MX RT has its own Evaluation kit: https://www.nxp.com/design/development-boards/i.mx-evaluation-and-development-boards/i.mx-rt1020-eva... . You are very welcome to check the Documentation and Software available that will provide you some guidance for your project. I may also recommend you to download the RT 1020 SDK, which is a bundle of different examples to give you an easier start on your project: https://mcuxpresso.nxp.com/en/select

In the search bar, you just need to write the name of your board and then click on the Build MCUXpresso SDK button. After this, just download and import it into the already installed MCUXpresso IDE.

Best Regards,
Fabian
