LPC54xxx deep sleep power consumption too high

Dear NXP,

we are currently trying to verify the power consumption of the LPC54606 and are seeing something not quite in line with the datasheets.

At 1.85V supply

  • Measured deep sleep ~ 200uA (should 23uA according to the spec)

We need to further reduce the power consumption.

Seems internal flash memory is in standby mode when deep sleep.  Wondering how to power down the internal flash memory to further reduce the power consumption? Or other suggestion?

Hi Terence,

Please check the measurements for deep-sleep mode.

Please keep in mind that typical ratings are not guaranteed.

In addition, please check the following recommendations that were used in the measurements from the datasheet.

• Configure all pins as GPIO with pull-up resistor disabled in the IOCON block.

• Configure GPIO pins as outputs using the GPIO DIR register.

• Write 1 to the GPIO CLR register to drive the outputs LOW.

• All peripherals disabled.

Datasheet: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/LPC546XX.pdf

Best regards,
Felipe
