JN5169 transmission power

Hi all,

I have a question relating transmission power of JN5169-M00 module. As mentioned in JN5169-M0X datasheet, the maximum TX power of M00 module is 8.5/10dBm. I use JN-AN-1172-JN516x-Customer-Module-Evaluation-Tool app note to measure transmission power of JN5169 module using Spectrum Analyzer. I take two tests:

- 1. Set module to Tx CW mode: Peak measured Tx power is 8.5dBm

- 2: Set module to Tx transmit packet test mode: Zigbee packet actually transmitted in this mode. Peak measured Tx power is 0dBm

In my opinion, the transmission power in datasheet is the peak transmission power before spreading that is equal to peak transmission power after spreading + 10*log10(speading_factor).

Could anyone confirm my thinking ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Thanh Pham, I hope you're doing well!

We have this document for RF Evaluation and Test Guidelines available where we describe the process for Tx and Rx tests, considerations, test descriptions and more related information.

The document can be found in the following link.

Best regards,
