MCUExpress IDE 11.0 Unusable on Debian based Linux Distros?

MCUExpresso IDE relies on Flexera DownloadManager which is provided as a RPM package. The help instructions say that this is only available on MacOS, Windows and Red Hat based Linux distributions. MCUExpresso IDE instructions say it will work on "any" Linux platform.

You don't need to use the Flexera Download Manager - in fact I would recommend you don't try. Just click on the installer that you want to download directly within the web page:

Sorry if this isn't that obvious, though we are looking into improving the download system used to supply MCUXpresso IDE installers in the future.

Hi Elaine,

The linux supported versions for MCUXpresso is Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and later LTS, Only 64-bit versions of Linux but there's the following note in the installation guide.

It could work in other Linux distributions but was only been tested in Ubuntu.
