Hi,

For RTC back-up supply, so we need to provide both VDD_SNVS and NVCC_SNVS through external coin cell or supercap if RTC timings need to be stored?

Please confirm.

Regards,

Anirudha

Hello,

  You are right.

According to section 3.1.6 (Power modes) of i.MX 8M  Data Sheet for Consumer Products,

Rev. 1.1, 07/2019 :

SNVS Mode: This mode is also called RTC mode. Only the power for the SNVS domain remains
on to keep RTC and SNVS logic alive.

Table 10 (Chip power in different LP mode) states about VDD_SNVS and NVCC_SNVS

supply voltages for this mode.

Have a great day,
Yuri
