P2041RDB-PC Power on Failure

We have had three P2041RDB-PC chassis fail permanently now, where they will no longer power on. Just reaching out to see if anybody has experienced similar problems. They have been on surge protectors along with other equipment and all the other equipment appears fine. I found one other post about this, and they said they were able to hold the power button down when they unplugged it and it remedied their situation. That did not work for us.

Steps:

1) Check positions of all configuration switches and set them to default positions referring the P2041RDB Quick Start Guide. If the board does not boot - 2)

2) Refer to the P2041RDB Quick Start Guide to set cfg_rcw_src=1_0010 (hard-coded option).

Use a debugger and try to establish debug connection with the board.

If debug connection is possible program pre-built NOR Flash image provided in the "QorIQ Linux SDK v2.0 PPCE500MC IMAGE.iso" which can be download at:

Linux® SDK for QorIQ® Processors | NXP

After the NOR Flash image programming set the set cfg_rcw_src=0_1101 and boot the board.

3) If the debug connection is not possible, there are following options:

a) ATX power supply does not operate properly - try to replace

b) the RDB board is damaged
