Hi,

Does NXP have a BLE 5 stack that implements Adaptive Frequency Hopping?

Hello Bhaskar, I hope you're doing well!

The NXP BLE stacks for the QN9080 and KW36 provide Frequency Hopping as per the standard requires, however, Adaptive Frequency Hopping is not a standard feature in the BLE protocol specification and stacks.

Best regards,

Sebastian

Thanks Sebastian. Is there any API/mechanism that would provide some metric that can be used by application to implement adaptiveness, like channel energy scan or something?

Hello Bhaskar,

Since the quality of the channel depends on a lot of factors, you'll need to account for all of those. Any implementation of a channel quality measurement system would have to be implemented by your application.

I'm really sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

Best regards,

Sebastian
