Changing MC13202 Receiver Sensitivity Level

Hello,

MC13202 has a receiver sensitivity level of < - 92 dBm for %1 PER.

I wonder if there is a way to change this level via registers or change of a component on the board.

I want to make it worse, say -70/-80 dBm. I am aware that IEEE 802.15.4 requires it to be < - 85 dBm. Even that level is fine.

Thanks,

Yavuz

Hello,

Please note that this product is not recommended for new designs. Could you please visit Wireless Connectivity Microcontrollers (MCUs) for information on the latest products. I believe that you can check the KW21Z which has 802.15.4, Thread and ZigBee support.

Is there a specific reason you want to make it worse? Usually, you would like to make it better. I'm not sure that you can achieve it as an LNA is in the receive path to add gain for greater receive sensitivity. You can check more information about this in this document in chapter 3.9.1 RF Interface Pins.
