Hello, I would like to know if UJA1169 can meet ASIL-B? I can't find any information from the datasheet about it.

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Hello Shaowei,

When the UJA1169 was developed, ISO26262 was not in use. In ISO26262 terminology, this means that the type is Quality Managed and does not have an ASIL-B level.

Relevant for ASIL levels is the failure rate:

Based upon lifetesting, in the amounts as prescribed by AEC-Q100, with 0 failures found, we can calculate a failure rate <10FIT, with 60% Confidence Level, at a junction temperature of 55°C. This failure rate equals an MTBF > 100M hours.

Based upon justified field returns, so excluding EOS/ESD and NTF, we can calculate an experienced field failure rate < 1FIT. For this calculation we assume 1.5 hours of operation per day, for each delivered product, this equals a typical automotive profile.

Best regards,

Tomas
