Adding a Sabre board, i.MX6 SoloX to vehicles

Hi, I need to embed a Sabre board into a fleet of vehicles, can I ask a few questions before doing so?

  1. Is there an existing enclosure designed for NXP i.MX6 SoloX board? Can you share the CAD file?
  2. Which version is this board? What is the timeline for future board spin?
  3. Is cooling solution needed to cool this board (assuming 50C ambient temperature)?
  4. Was this board manufactured with production processes, or were manual processes involved?
  5. Any 3D diagrams. We need this to do fit studies to decide on the enclosure.

Thanks for comments

Hi Paul,

The SABRE boards are for evaluation and development purposes, they are not intended to be directly used on end-applications.

All the hardware design documentation is included on the following package:

https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=IMX6SOLOX-SABRESDB-DESIGNFILES&appType=license

This board does not have/require cooling for the targeted purpose (evaluation/development).

The part number of the i.MX processor used on this board is the following:

MCIMX6X4EVM10AB (Extended Commercial product, operative from -20 to 105 °C).

Hope this will be useful for you.
Best regards!
/Carlos

Hi CarlosCasillas‌ thanks for your reply. Do you have any recommended vendor or industrial designs based on this board?
