The simulator is part of the CodeWarrior for MCUs debugger. You can download the Special Edition of CodeWarrior for MCUs from here to check it out. The Special Edition is free, although is has limitations, such as code size. However, that should be enough to let you check the simulator without any expense other than your time to download it and install it.
