Hello,
I am interesting about the Automotive Ethernet AVB Demo, which I have seen in:
https://app-community.nxp.com/docs/DOC-330967
And I have already made a purchase of the OM14510-SJA1105TJP and the SABRE for AVB Development.
I have noticed in your Demo that the OM14510-SJA1105TJP use an Unshielded Twisted Pair Cable, while the SABRE only has an Ethernet port (if I am not mistaken). But both the OM14510-SJA1105TJP and SABRE kit don't contain that cable. Which means I can not connect them.
Could you please tell what the cable is and how to get it?
Thanks for your help!
100Base-T1 (Automotive Ethernet) and 10/100/1000Base-T are not electrically
compatible. If your SABRE board has only an RJ-45 Ethernet connector,
you cannot connect it to a 100Base-T1 port. For SABRE-2, there is
a daughter card with an Automotive Ethernet PHY. You need that card
to connect to OM14510-SJA1105TJP.

Hi Platon,
Thanks for your reply.
Regards to the daughter card, do you mean the IMXAI2ETH-BRC, that in the "BUY/PARAMETRICS" button of SABRE-2?
Cause from the picture I see, IMXAI2ETH-BRC doesn't seem to have a 100Base-T1 port.
And if I use a 100BASE-T1 Media Converter to connect them, it will also work, right?
Thanks again for your help.
Yes, it is IMXAI2ETH-BRC. As of media converters, they should work
as well, but there are no officially recommended/tested ones.

Platon
