Audio over BLE with QN9080

Hi

The QN9080 documentation mentions the ability to achieve Audio over BLE, thanks to the Bluetooth 5 specifications. Digging in the code code I also managed to find HCI specific commands related to an Audio over BLE protocol. I know the Bluetooth SIG still hasn't come up with a standard, but I'm interested in streaming Audio over BLE.

What options would one have in order to implement such a protocol ?

Thanks.

Have a nice day,

Emilien.

Hello,

The Bluetooth LE does not have a profile for audio, nonetheless, could you please help me with the document you are referring to? This is for me to investigate and see what is the document referring to exactly so I can guide you through there.

Hi

I found that information in the "QN9080 BLE 5.0 Connectivity Update q1 2018" document.

It says that Audio over BLE is "feasible with 2Mbps mode".

Regards,

Emilien.

Hello,

Do you have the link to this document?  I was not able to locate it.

It does support that mode, but not sure if it is with Bluetooth LE, you might be able to use the GFSK and create your own frame like the Bluetooth LE one, but the link to the document will be helpful for me to verify what that it's referring to.
