I've installed YOCTO L4.14.78-1.0.0_ga in Linux Ubuntu 18.04 using a Virtual BOX machine with 2 processors and 8 Gbytes of RAM and following instructions in i.MX_Yocto_Project_User's_Guide.pdf.
I've launched the build :
$ DISTRO=fsl-imx-wayland MACHINE=imx8mqevk source fsl-setup-release.sh -b build-wayland
$ bitbake fsl-image-qt5-validation-imx
It has been running for 20 hours occupying, up to now, about 130 Gigabytes of Hard Disk!
At the moment, 4864 of 6774 tasks have been completed.
Are these abnormous occupation and time as expected?
The user's guide says:
"It is recommended that at least 120 GB is provided, which is enough to compile all backends together."
But, at the end of the build, this value will be by far exceeded by only one backends.
