Any PSU chip suggestions for MX31?

Hi, im developing a board using the MX31 for an application that runs off a L-Ion battery and requires good battery life.

Im trying to find a suitable power supply and thought someone here might be able to help.

The Freescale MC13783 (Atlas) would have been ideal except the BGA pitch is 0.5mm and would (i believe) require microvias to get the tracks out. After investigating using microvias i decided the best option was to find an alternative chip.

The Freescale MC34704 is a contender except after checking out the datasheet i found this:
"Input DC Supply Current, Regulators 1 - 5 On, Reg 6, 7 and 8 Off; Vin = 3.6V, FSW = 1Mhz: 32mA".

This to me seems very high for a mobile device.

Im now back to the drawing board. There are options from TI, Linear and National that ive had a bit of a look at but i thought id ask here before spending any more time on it. Integrated batt charging would be good also.

Thanks,

Tim
