Hello,

There is an issue with the new version of the MCUXpresso IDE and the Wireless Connectivity examples (including the KW36).

Meanwhile a new version of the IDE releases, could you please downgrade a version of the IDE so you can run the examples?

I am using MCUXpresso IDE v10.2.1 and still the same issue is seen in FRDM-KW36

Error in final launch sequence
Failed to execute MI command:
-target-download
Error message from debugger back end:
Load failed
Load failed

Any other way to resolve this issue?

Hello,

Could you please help me attaching a screenshot of the issue? Also, just to confirm are you using the UART interface for debugging or are you using the semihosting option?

@Estephania Martinez

Hi,

Please check the below screenshots

For Wireless_UART BLE example project I got the following error:

Default configuration:

default_config.png

Error:

w_uart.png

After changing the config:

config_changed.png

Error:

error.png

In both the case, the debugging option looks like this

Semihost option is selected

Hello,

That might be the root cause of your issue, could you please try debugging and deploying the firmware using the UART interface? Do you still get the errors?

Hi,

Once after changing it to UART interface it is working fine!

Thanks for your support!

Is there any option to change that setting from semihost to UART once after setting up the project using SDK import wizard

Because I could able to see that option only during import SDK examples (SDK import wizard)

Please let me know the steps to change it

Thanks!

Hello,

Yes,  there is a way to do it either right-clicking the project or in the properties of it.

Hi estephania_martinez,

kw36‌mcuxpressoide_10.2.1_795 segger jlink #flexnvm

I am using Segger J-Link Plus debugger to download and debug the source code to KW36 board

For the Wireless_UART BLE example project

  1. When I download the debug version of the project it is uploading properly

Whereas when I download the release version of the project it is showing the following error

Error in final launch sequence

Failed to execute MI command:

-target-select remote localhost:2336

Error message from debugger back end:

localhost:2336: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

localhost:2336: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

2. When I try to write some data in the FlexNVM memory part it is not writing, please refer the below memory configuration

memory config.png

Thanks!

Naven Suresh

Hello,

Could you please add this issue in a different thread?  This issue seems to be different also I will need more details on how you are deploying it, also, are you trying to debug the release version? Or are you just flashing it?
