Hello,

I have some questions about LOCKUP of MK61FX512VMJ15.

The attahced file is the extract from the reference manual of MK61FX512VMJ15.

The reference manual says that the LOCKUP gives immediate indication of "seriously errant kernel software".

What does "seriously errant kernel software" mean?

When what error in kernel occurs, will LOCKUP occur?

Hi Kakeru Watanabe,

The LOCKUP problem is caused by the kernel, just as the RM have described:

This is the result of the core being locked because of an unrecoverable exception following the activation of the processor’s built in system state protection hardware.

More details about the LOCKUP, you need to check the ARM Cortex M4 core document, I recommend you to refer to this book:

The definitive guide to ARM cortex M3 and Cortex M4 processors.pdf

Wish it helps you!

If you still have question about it, please kindly let me know.

Have a great day,
Kerry
