Which MPC5xxx for more computing performance than the MPC5675K

For the moment, I use a mpc5675k for an inverter with quite some heavy calculation.

So I use the two cores of the 5675 and two FlexPWM modules in adaptation of the need for a specific hardware topology.

Now, I need more #computing power.

It seems natural to use the mpc5775k (higher speed, 3 cores) but it is not yet available.

Someone has an idea of a good candidate for higher performance and few re-design?

Hi,

Well MPC5775K is intended to be used mainly for ADAS applications.

The MPC5744P is replacement for MPC5675k, but is apply only locksteped z4 core. I am not sure if that is enough computing power for you.

But there are also devices like MPC5777M/C, MPC5746R which brings more computing power, but missing FlexPWM module.

The most reasonable choice I see in latest S32 generation. S32R274 which has a lot of computing power and also FlexPWM and motor control modules. This device is available for mass market.

Thanks for your answer Peter.

MPC5744P, as you said, would lack of computing power

S32R274 has only one FlexPWM module

So I should wait the MPC5775K or rework my software design in order to use the eTPU or the eMIOS modules :smileysad:
