IMX6ULL unused LCD_DATA pins

Hi!

I am designing imx6ull based board.

Not sure how to be with LCD_DATA pins that not used in my design at all.

Looking here:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/IMX6ULLCEC.pdf

I see table 78 " Fuses and Associated Pins Used for Boot" that says that

LCD_DATA00 - LCD_DATA23 pins  reflects as input with 100k inputs pull-down

resistor.

I need only two of them to be pulled up during power up for boot configuration.

So, can I leave all other pins left floating at all if I need them only on boot configuration

process and I don't want to use external pull down resistors to save pcb space?

Hello Almaz Khamidullin,

That’s correct, you may leave the unused LCD_DATA pins floating to save PCB space. You would need to make sure to setup the boot configuration, and the recommendation is setting the unused LCD signals as output. You may find more LCD recommendations in Table 5 of the Hardware Development Guide for the i.MX6ULL (link below).

I hope this helps!
