PTN5150A - inverting EXT_SEL polarity

Hi,

The device is intended to use in UFP only and EXT_SEL will control SS Mux for Type-C SS signals routing.

Default EXT_SEL pin polarity is:

   Low - CC2 orientation

   High - CC1 orientation

Can I change the polarization by cross-connection of CC1/CC2 between USB socket and PTN5150 chip?

Connections:

USB socket -> PTN5150

CC1 line to CC2 pin

CC2 line to CC1 pin

Does it change any other chip functionality?

Hi Karol,

Yes, if you swap the CC1/CC2 connection, then the polarity will be reversed also. This is the right way of doing it.

This will NOT change other functions.
