USB TAP error

Hi,

this afternoon I was working with a 8037 demoboard connected to the USB TAP (rev D) in order to debug a program, when suddenly (after maybe 4 hours of work) Codewarrior (8.2) gave me this error:

"CSSProtocolPlugin: CSS: Library not found"

when i tried to download the program to the board.

From that moment nothing helped, restart of the css.exe, restart of the pc, unplug/plug of the usb tap, update of codewarrior (8.2.3), reinstallation of the usbtap driver. Nothing.

What's this error? What can I do to solve the problem?

Thanks Bye Jack

Generally any time that I have seen that message, either a disconnect/reconnect of the USBTAP from the USB port or shutting down and restarting CodeWarrior generally seems to fix it.   Even if the driver that interfaces Codewarrior <-> USBTAP was locked up I would expect that the rebooting of the PC would correct.  Perhaps your USBTAP has suffered a hardware failure ?   What do you observe for LED activity on the USBTAP when it is connected to the PC alone, to the target board, and when you try to download or connect to the target board ?   Perhaps this information might provide more clues.
