Hello !

We have been investigating a number of reports related to issues on HPD , RXSENSE detection and reading EDID data from the HDMI sink.

We came up with a couple of changes that we did in the mxc hdmi driver ( we are using IMX6DP SoC)

First one resets the I2C master controller before it is configured. The current driver reinitialize the i2c master controller on first EDID data failure but the controller is not reset before.

Second one tries to address spurious HDP and RXSENSE events that might be triggered when HPD and RXSENSE are enabled and the HDMI PHY controller is powered off.

Third patch adds support for detection of RXSENSE when HDMI sync is connected. Might be useful in cases you can't rely on HPD detect signal.

Welcome any suggestions regarding this patches.

Best regards,
