Question, i.MX257 external cap for NVCC_DRYICE

Dear team,

My customer is trying to re-new their i.MX257 custom board. And they have a question about the external capacitor which should connect to NVCC_DRYICE.

Now they are using a ceramic capacitor for the external capacitor.

For general, a ceramic capacitor has a DC-Bias-Characteristic which the capacitance can decrease.

On your datasheet, it is said that “An external capacitor no less than 4 μF must be connected to NVCC_DRYICE.”.

Could you show me whether one has to consider also the capacitance decrease when selecting the capacitor?

yes this also should be taken into account, 4 μF min. value should be followed in all operating conditions.
